Globe Valve Overview - Ghatkopar

Discover the precision and reliability of Globe Valves used in industrial applications. Control flow, maintain pressure, and ensure smooth operations.

Working Principle

A globe valve regulates flow by moving a disc toward or away from the stationary seat. As the disc lowers, flow decreases; as it rises, flow increases. This design allows precise control, preventing sudden pressure drops and ensuring minimal leakage.

Globe valves can operate in multiple positions (fully open, partially open, fully closed) making them perfect for throttling applications.

Materials & Construction

Globe valves are made from stainless steel, carbon steel, bronze, or cast iron. The disc and seat are precision-machined to ensure perfect sealing. Selection of materials depends on fluid type, temperature, and pressure.

High-performance globe valves feature hardened seats and guides for abrasion resistance and longer lifespan.
